Abiding by the shop rules will make for a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
To schedule a tattoo appointment please email the artist you wish to work with directly. From there they will direct you to either call and schedule an in person consultation or give you a session length and deposit amount. You can then call the shop during business hours to schedule your session and put down your deposit over the phone.
Based on the amount of work involved a retainer of $100 to $500 is taken to hold all tattoo appointments. THIS RETAINER IS 100% NON REFUNDABLE and will come off the price of your finished tattoo. If your tattoo requires multiple sessions and appointments, the retainer will carry forward and be taken off the final session. Retainers are taken to cover the tattoo artists time if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment.
Our computer system will email you a confirmation of your tattoo appointment. Please reconfirm by replying to the message. If you do not confirm by email our front desk will call you within 1-3 days before your appointment to confirm.
You MUST be 18 years of age to be tattooed in the State of Illinois and all clients must provide a Government issued photo ID with a birthday such as Drivers License, State ID, Illinois F.O.I.D Card, or Passport. Absolutely no traffic tickets, birth certificates or school ID's will be accepted.
Please call if you need to rebook or cancel. A heads up is appreciated as we can book in someone else or work on artwork if we know you can't make your appointment. We require 72 hours notice on rescheduling or cancellations. No Calls and No Shows forfeit their deposit.
We do not tattoo fingers, toes, hands, necks or faces. We may occasionally make exceptions for people who are already heavily tattooed. Finger and toe tattoos almost never heal well. We do not guarantee work on these areas of the body. Any touch-ups must pay full rate. Each artist has the right to refuse to tattoo any body part or person they are not comfortable with.
We do not do all White tattoos. White is lighter than your skin color and typically heals off white to brown depending on a persons skin tone. All white tattoos are not covered under our free touch up policy.
Due to risk of infection and stress to the body, anyone who is pregnant or nursing will not be tattooed.
We do not do racist, hate or gang related tattoos.
Some artists have a longer waiting period than others due to higher demands for their work. Please realize that each artist is only one person and can only do a certain amount of work in one day. Some artists may be unavailable for new appointments from time to time depending on their workload.
Please be on time and sober. Do not consume alcohol at least 8 hours before your appointment time as it thins your blood. Hangovers decrease energy and increase sensitivity during the tattoo procedure. By law we cannot tattoo intoxicated people.
We understand that many people are addicted to their cell phone and cannot live without it but often while getting tattooed people are reaching for or using their cell phone in a manner that can cause crooked lines or coloring out of the lines. All cell phones should be turned off and put away during your appointment to prevent distractions and lessen the chance of you moving and causing mistakes.
Moisturize the area that is going to be tattooed for up to 2 weeks prior. This will make the area easier to tattoo and produces better work. Do not come in sun burnt or peeling from sunburn as we cannot tattoo you and you will forfeit your deposit.
Please eat a full meal before your tattoo appointment. Those that don't eat beforehand run the chance of running out of energy and increasing their chance of not feeling well or passing out. You can bring snacks and drinks to your appointment.
Only the person getting tattooed and one visitor is allowed back in the procedure area. This is for health reasons as well as safety. Visitors can distract the artist which can affect the outcome of your work.
Please shower before coming in to get tattooed. This can distract your artist who may rush just to get you on your way a little faster. Also do not wear excess amounts of perfume or cologne as some artists are sent sensitive and it can cause sinus irritation and headaches.
Please call if you need to re-book or cancel. A heads up is appreciated as we can book in someone else or work on artwork if we know you can't make your appointment. We require 72 hours notice on rescheduling or cancellations. No Calls and No Shows forfeit their deposit.
Please don't wear your favorite piece of clothing to your appointment. Even though we try our best to protect clothing, contamination can happen, and tattoo ink does not come out of clothing very easily. Also dress with the appropriate clothes to aid in accessing the area of the body you are getting tattooed.
Please be patient. While we try to stay on top of drawings and appointments, sometimes a cancellation is needed if the artist is not happy with the artwork or becomes sick. Please remember the artists are people too, can only do so much work, and sometimes get run down. We do not want to tattoo you if we are not completely happy with the artwork or are not feeling well. Your tattoo is with you for life and should be the best it can possibly be.
Please note there can be circumstances where your artist may be running behind. We will do our best to let you know before you arrive. Please also understand that we artists have families as well and sometimes emergencies come up that can not be helped and we may need to reschedule your appointment.
Please ensure an open schedule around your tattoo appointment. Artists sometimes fall behind and things sometimes take longer than expected. Also please try to avoid getting tattooed right before a vacation where you will be in the sun or water. You will need at least 2-3 weeks, though 4 is better, healing time before you can expose your tattoo to the elements.
We are a full custom tattoo studio and will draw up a design for you based on your ideas. We can use pictures of other peoples tattoos you bring in for a starting point but will not do it exactly as it is in the picture you give us. We would prefer you had a great original piece that is all your own rather than copying someone else's hard work.
