Beginning drawing and painting as a child, Daryl spent most of his time exploring and creating art through high school. In 1986 winning the Frederick Layton Scholarship to attend Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Daryl began his formal education as an Illustrator and Painter while majoring in Graphic Design.
His work has been featured in exhibitions across the United States including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Georgia, Chicago, Wisconsin, Oregon and Washington D.C. In addition, Daryl’s paintings are in numerous private collections. Daryl has also been commissioned for several murals in youth centers and private homes in Illinois and Wisconsin.
During his freelance art career, Daryl became a high school arts instructor spending 12 years teaching various art courses to the students, as well as teaching formal Painting courses at William Rainey Harper College (Illinois) for 3years.
Daryl started tattooing in 2001 adding to his arsenal of creative talents. His broad range of interpretation and knack for visual communication in fine art and cartooning was well suited for pursuing Body art. Daryl has created small and large tattoos of any and all kinds. Preferring Black and grey tattoos and custom original work, he continues to creatively build and offer interesting approaches and styles to the art form. In 2014, Daryl was asked to be a finalist judge during the 2014 Navy Pier Tattoo Convention, judging skin artists from local, National, as well as International locations.
Daryl continues to explore new ways to share his unique visions through tattooing, painting and drawing.
